Must go Places to eat in Bali

Ubud

Cilantro

The first day at Ubud we were fully exhausted by our river rafting session in the afternoon and also because of the night journey previous night from Singapore. While walking down the streets of Ubud we came across this lovely restaurant Cilantro

Cilantro serves Mexican cuisine and we both are diehard fans of Mexican cuisine. The restaurant was super cosy and dim lit; perfect for a candle light dinner. It’s two storied building and has cosy corners in the first floor and an open space balcony which was beautifully lit.

We preferred to sit in the balcony area and theta one of the best decision we made that day.

We ordered the below dishes

And an honest review to all the dishes is its super authentic and really delicious.

The price was reasonable and the quantity was good.

Buddha bowl

One of the major reasons for visiting bali was to actually taste the famous smoothie bowl. This is first restaurant we visited which served us a really refreshing smoothie bowl. Very satisfying indeed.

The price is reasonable and the quantity is good.

Smoothie bowl

Acai bowl

We were just not satisfied with one smoothie bowl that night so we came across this small outlet which served Acai smoothie bowls. We had no clue what Acai was but apparently Acai is a berry which is found in Brazil and super rich in antioxidants whoahhh that’s something NEW!!

Well the taste was super amazing; had a little sour taste blended with sweetness.

The desserts are on an expensive side as compared to the quantity.

Teba sari

We were super hungry after our visit to Alas harum and this restaurant is the closest to the park. Again, one of the best decisions taken on the day. This restaurant is no less than a resort in itself .The souring feels like you are in a jungle.

We ordered the below dishes

Teba sri dishes

The ambience of the restaurant is mesmerising and absolutely photo friendly

Note : if you are a vegetarian please ask the ingredients in any dish they serve because we found prawns in a chutney which was served with the starters and if you are allergic to something please specify that to them.

The staff is very welcoming and jovial and we were very happy with their fast service.

The quantity of the food was very less and the price was way too high.

Paperboy

We wanted to have smoothie bowl again and we landed to this place at night while walking down the streets of kuta.

Paperboy offers you with amazing food, friendly staff, photo-booths and lovely ambience.

Everything we tasted was super tasty and beautifully presented. For the /smoothies the price was worth it but for rest of the items it’s on an expensive side.

Crumb and coaster

If you ever visit Kuta don’t miss this place this is truly a gem and we found out this one accidently when we were super hungry and had our brunch there. After having the food we wished we had come here every day for breakfast.

This place is mostly recommended for breakfast and brunch and they have different menu for each meal. So take turns nod visit this place multiple times if possible.

The price is worth it for the quantity and the taste.

New delhi Indian restaurant Kuta

This restaurant was just located in front of our hotel so we chose this as we were super hungry and wanted to have something quick.

We had Chaas, Egg biryani and paneer chilly and the food was good nad reasonable too. For someone who craves Indian food can visit this place for a quick bite.

Ganesha ek sanskriti

The last night in Kuta we decided to have something Indian and we don’t know why we chose to have dinner from this place. The food was very expensive, the quantity was below satisfaction and the service was very slow and we had to cancel few dishes which we ordered.

Chicken 65 and Amritsari fish

The reviews are great about the place the ambience is beautiful other than that we were really disappointed.

All these are our reviews for the places we had our food from.

That’s all for today, have a wonderful day

Kuta

Kuta is famous for its hippie vibes and usually attracts the youngers tourists because of its night life. Kuta has become a synonym of bail’s nightlife. The city is beautifully lit and tourists are seen parting hard in every nook and corner of the city.

Disclaimer: Its a waste place for tourists who don’t drink or party ( guys you can choose ubud )

Kuta beach

The best destination to watch the sunset and one of the most beautiful sunsets we have witnessed. The beach is super crowded during the sunset and the weirdest part was the crowd just vanished after the sunset and the beach was all empty.

The seashore is very beautiful and you can see the flights landing in Bali from the beach.

The beach is lively with tourists and have loads of resorts nearby which are beautifully lit for the night party later on.

Also there are loads of drug dealers roaming here n there and they are little creepy the way they behave and look at tourists.

Kuta night life

Kuta is really famous for its night life and the shopping places. Tourists come here to party and relax. You can find plenty of resto pubs and and night clubs. There is no time limits in certain clubs and the party goes on till sunrise too.

Our favourite restaurants

What & Where to eat in varanasi

Niyati cafe

After visiting  dashashwamedh Ghat we were really very hungry so we went to a really amazing  Cafe named Niyati cafe and its a very small restaurant which serves varieties of cusines including continental, American and Indians  and we definitely preffered the authentic Indian food also be ordered a rice, dal and aloo gobi ki sabzi . The food served here is very simple and very yummy,And  the best part about the restaurant is there everything  is cooked fresh. The owner of the restaurant is a very very sweet guy and he and his wife manages the restaurant while she  prepares  the food and he manages  the restaurant . Maximum of  15 people could be accommodated in the restaurant and we would definitely recommend this place and everyone must go there .

Lanka :Pahalwan dudh centre

In Varanasi there is a place called Lanka which is which is far away from the place where we were staying  and after reading some blog recommendations  in search of some amazing chat to our disappointment we did not find anything over there. But we found there was  an amazing street food called the Chura matar which we saw just exploring the streets. There’s nothing so great about the place. And accidently the best part about going to Lanka was the Pahalwan dudh centre where you get a yummiest Gajar ka halva and we had the Balushahi Steaming hot flavoured milk  is very famous during winters in Varanasi and we were wondering why everyone drinking the milk but to be very frank after tasting the milk we found our why!!! The milk tastes amazing  with the essence of cardamom and because its being boiled for a longer time it gets that creamy texture. The boiling milk is served in kulhad which also enhances is the milk’s tastes and The longer it is boiled the better it tastes and its a  must try beverages in Banaras.

Kashi chaat centre :Godowlia

Kashi chaat centre  located near the  godowlia chawk in Varanasi serves one of the best chaats in Varaonasi and it opens only in the evening by 6 pm and is always crowded. So  we had this amazing tamatar Chaat, dahi vada , tikki chaat , paani puri and Chura matar (of course because I loved it the  last time we had it) and I will recommend Kashi chat Centre to everyone  who visits Varanasi just because of the amazing tamatar Chaat  and also I never ever had such amazing chat ever. Also the service is very fast and every item is served  steaming hot n fresh.

Sweet shops in Gowdowlia chawk

Sweets in Varanasi especially the one which made is made with milk is the totally recommendable because the the milk is very fresh and they make all the sweets with that fresh milk and the freshness of the sweets can be experienced. We had Gulab Jamun, Rasgulla, rasmalai,Cham cham and everything  is very tasty and fresh. During Winters almost everyone in the town relishes the hot flavoured milk in the chilly nights of Varanasi and if you are craving for something warm and tasty definitely its the  steaming hot creamy milk of Varanasi.

Chai Samosa and Boondi: Dashashwamedh Ghat

While walking towards the Dashashwamedh ghat the street has loads of shops which sell samosa chai and boondi, and I must say it’s really worth giving a try and I assure you the taste won’t disappoint you instead you will feel like having them more.

Litti Chokah: Rajendra Prasad Ghat

While we were strolling along the ghats we found this street vendor selling litti chokha and it was really amazing to have the authentic taste even at a local place.

Paan

Paan is soul of Varanasi and paan shop is  found in every nook and corner of the city . Well to be very frank every shop serves really good paan as we had from multiple shops and cant decide which on e was best. The vendors would make it according to the taste which you like>also the size of the paan here is slightly bigger than the usual ones.

Steaming hot idlies : Godowlia Chawk

with For the morning breakfast we had steaming hot Idlies and coconut chutney  with loads of mustard seeds on top from a small street vendor outside our hotel .We were  a little sceptical about  having idly from north India as being a South Indian we love Idli and don’t like to experiment when it comes to south Indian cuisine but this was really good and we were extremely satisfied.

Aloo parathas foms street vendors

As far as aloo paratha is considered you can happily have it from the street vendors ,its amazingly fresh and tasty

AS far as what we experienced have the local food and have it from the crowded street vendors because the crowd indicate the taste of a particular locality of city and crowd also ensure that theres something yummy food.

Poori sabzi Or kachoris

The streets shops and vendors  of Varanasi serves these pooris or kachoris with aloo ( potato ) curry which is a must have and they have different variants in the recipes.

Kachori and sabzi

Malaiyo

Malaiyo is a frothy pleasant and firm dessert found only during the winters of Banaras. This is the elegant composition of milk, Saffron and several dry fruits, along with the most important ingredient, Dew. Yes this is the core reason why Malaiyo in winter is the availability of Dew.And trust me this would be a surprise for your taste buds.

Kopitiams

IN Singapore in loads of places we noticed this food courts which is named as Kopitiams and when we researched about them it turns out to be : kopitiam or kopi tiam is a traditional coffee shop mostly found in Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia and Southern Thailand patronized for meals and beverages. The word kopi is a Malay term for coffee and tiam is the Hokkien/Hakka term for shop.

🇱 🇦 🇻 🇴 This is a restaurant situated on the 57th story of Marina Bay Sands singapore. Starting with the entrance of the restaurants beautifully lit at night and the staff is very very welcoming The restaurant is very cosy and the lighting is dim. Talking about the food cuisines served here is Italian and you get really yummy pasta so they serve you first with with complimentary starter is a bread which look like a cake. We ordered a white sauce pasta sauted broccoli and spinach pizza, we know it sounds very healthy and yes it was apparently and also we ordered for a Sunshine Paradise and because they did not have the ingredients for the same drink actually made a customised drink for us which was absolutely yummy!! So when you go to this restaurant have a view at the light show with the fountains which happens on the Singapore river which can be viewed from the 57th story restaurant at 9 o'clock Singapore time. This musical fountain is an amazing show which one can witness from top of the Singapore and also you can have the look of the full City from this place which looks splendid. On the other side of the restaurant you have a big telescope through which you can zoom in and see the major part of the city. Because usually at night Singapore becomes little breezy it's the best time to go and spend some time with your loved one as the Marina Bay Sands lavo Singapore #beautifulsingapore #lightshow #musicalfountainshow #amazingrestaurant #placestovisit #foodiecouple #foodstagram #lovesfood #foodphotography #phonephotography #singaporediaries❤ #singaporerestaurants #singapore_insta #visitsingapore #harrytinkers #lovestotravel #lovetoexplore #eatsomethingnew

Ecp food court

This is a pretty large food court in East coast park ( ECP) .Well ECP is a beach which lies on the eastern side of Singapore. This is beach which is always populated with the tourists and the residents because it has a park with the beach coastline and amazing food court. The food served here is mostly singaporean and you get loads of non veg varieties.WE had Mei goreng ( noodles) , chicken satay, egg fried rice and tender coconut juice.

Fashion forward shopping street:Bugis

Bugis is the best place to shopping for all shopaholics in town.

For street shopping go to bugis  street and for brands go to bugis mall.

Bugis mall

Clothing

There is  whole street full of funky and quirky clothes and these are really good in quality but the only sizes available are XS, S and M, Can’t blame these shops because everyone is super petite in Singapore including the men . So to buy clothes from the streets you need to be petite. Also as Indians our body is on a curvy side and its little difficult to fit into these pretty, cute and beautiful clothes  which you get it at a very reasonable cost only if you bargain well. Also there is no fitting rooms in most of the shops so buy it on your own risk.

Just after the street you can see a beautiful building which is the bugis mall and there you can find almost all the good brands to shop from.

Happy to see some of my designs in the store

Accessories

Talking about the bags we got some really beautiful bags which was in offer got 3 bags for 10 SGD.Also tnere are many shops which sell earring ,necklaces and other pretty accessories in a n offer such as 8 for 10SGD and 4 for 10 SGD depending on what you are buying. Also there are many options for footwear also , the only main important factor is bargaining. Bargain as much as you can.

So many options to chose from 🙂

Bugis food street

Bugis food street has so much to offer to a foodie couple like us ans because we were really tired after so much of bargaining ,walking , window shopping that our stomachs were grumbling with hunger.

Visit Bugis for an amazing shopping experience
