The Cultural capital of Singapore : Chinatown

China town as the name says its inspired by Chinese culture and this street has a Buddhist temple at the beginning of the street.

Temple of tooth relic

Besides the temple you will find loads of street shops which sells Singapore souvenirs at a very very reasonable rate. You can combine 3-4 items and get it at mere 4-5 SGD.

From key rings ,fridge magnets ,t shirts, accessories, clothes, home decor items everything literally.this street is  mostly  crowded with tourists and locals for shopping .

Durian

A very fascinating fruit which we discovered in Chinatown.
Well this is a tropical fruit which is imported from Malaysia to Singapore and is loved by most of the citizen there. This fruit looks like jack fruit and so we tried it,

How does durian tastes

Well to be frank the very first bite of this fruit was different never tasted something like this, then later on we liked it, it smells pungent  and be identified from far away.

Due to its overpowering smell, durian has been banned , In Singapore, the fruit is banned across all types of public transportation and even taxis have signs to let you know they refuse to carry passengers transporting the smelly fruit. You have to pay a heavy fine for this offence.

So if you are adventurous enough to taste different fruits the you should give it a try
